The extension runs on regular webpages and looks for common cookie consent banners, GDPR popups, privacy notices, consent overlays, and related page blockers. When a matching banner is detected, it hides or removes the banner and restores page scrolling if the banner blocked the page.

The popup gives you a simple on/off switch and shows how many banners were removed on the current page and during the current browser session.

How It Works:

Cookie Banner Remover uses local page rules to detect common cookie banner selectors and consent popup patterns. When a banner is found, the extension may hide it, remove it from the page, or try to click a visible consent button.

When possible, the extension tries reject-style options first, such as “Reject”, “Decline”, or “Necessary only”. If no reject-style option is found, it may try common close or accept-style buttons to remove the interruption.

How to Use:

1. Install Cookie Banner Remover.
2. Open any regular website.
3. The extension will automatically look for common cookie banners.
4. Click the extension icon to view removal counts.
5. Use the Protection Active toggle to turn the extension on or off.

Privacy Friendly:

Cookie Banner Remover runs locally in your browser. Based on the current extension files, it does not collect personal information, does not send browsing data to an external server, and does not use analytics scripts.

The extension stores only a local enabled/disabled setting using Chrome storage. Banner removal counts are kept for the current browser session.
