About

Volt Image Cropper lets you crop any image on a webpage and download it as a high-quality 1200×1200 JPEG — without ever leaving the tab.

How it works:
1. Click the extension icon to enter crop mode.
2. Click "Crop Image" on any visible image.
3. Drag and resize the square crop area, adjust the filename, then click Download.

Features:
- Works on almost any site — overlays a "Crop Image" button on visible images (at least 40×40 px)
- In-page editor — the crop dialog opens as an overlay on the current tab, no separate tab needed
- Square crop with drag-to-move and corner handles to resize; snaps near image edges
- Pan and zoom in the editor using buttons or keyboard shortcuts
- Exports a 1200×1200 JPEG at high quality using Chrome's system save dialog
- Rename the file before downloading with a sanitized filename field
- Source quality badge — shows how many source pixels fall inside the crop and warns when the result will be upscaled
- Robust cross-origin image loading — fetches HTTPS images via the service worker so the canvas stays usable for most cross-origin images; supports blob URLs, data URLs, and srcset (prefers largest declared width)
- OEM/CDN URL support — strips server crop-name query params and lets you edit width/height URL parameters with live image reload
