JSON Beautifier turns raw or minified JSON into a clean, readable, color-coded view — right in your browser, with no external services and no data ever leaving your machine.

── PASTE & GO ──────────────────────────────
Drop any JSON into the input box and click Beautify (or press Ctrl+Enter / Cmd+Enter). Valid JSON is also auto-formatted as soon as you paste it, so you rarely need to press anything at all. A live indicator dot shows whether your input is valid JSON before you even submit.

Every token type gets its own color:
  • Keys — blue
  • Strings — orange/red
  • Numbers — green
  • Booleans — blue

── STATS AT A GLANCE ───────────────────────
The toolbar shows the total line count, the number of keys (counted recursively across all nested objects), and the maximum nesting depth — useful for quickly understanding the shape of an unfamiliar payload.

── SESSION HISTORY ─────────────────────────
Your last input is remembered between sessions. If you close and reopen the extension, a "Restore last session" button lets you pick up exactly where you left off. Clear the saved input any time with a single click.

── DARK & LIGHT THEME ──────────────────────
Switch between a dark VS Code–inspired theme and a clean light theme. Your preference is remembered across sessions.

── KEYBOARD SHORTCUT ───────────────────────

JSON Beautifier is 100% local. It requests only the minimum permission needed to open a new tab. No analytics, no network requests, no accounts. Your data never leaves your browser.
