Translate song lyrics directly inside the Spotify Web Player without tab switching or copy-pasting. Versa injects translations beneath each lyric line in real time, so you can read along in your language while the music plays.

⚙️ How It Works
When you open the lyrics panel in Spotify, Versa detects the lyric lines and sends them to Google Translate directly from your browser. Translations appear inline, stacked neatly beneath each original line. The extension has no server; your browser makes every translation request.

✨ Features
💬 Inline translation: Translations appear directly beneath each Spotify lyric line. No popups and no separate panels. The translated text uses Spotify's native font and layout so it feels like it belongs there.

🌍 Auto-detect language: Versa detects the language of each line individually. If a line is already in your target language, it is skipped to avoid redundant translations. This handles mixed-language songs naturally (e.g., an English chorus in a K-pop track).

👀 Two display modes: Choose "Bilingual" to see original lyrics above and the translation below, or select "Translation only" to hide the original text entirely.

⚡ Recent languages: Your last 3 used languages appear as quick-switch pills, removing the need to scroll the dropdown every time.  

⌨️ Keyboard shortcuts: Fully rebindable controls include Alt+L (toggle translation), Alt+O (switch display modes), Alt+K (cycle recent languages), and Alt+D (toggle auto-detect).

🎨 Accent color themes: Choose from 9 presets (green, blue, purple, red, orange, pink, yellow, cyan, rose) or pick any custom hex color. The translation text, toggle switches, and sliders all follow the same accent color.

🔤 Typography controls: Adjust the font size, opacity, and line spacing of the translated text independently from Spotify's original lyrics.

🛠️ Settings panel: Click the globe icon in the Spotify playback bar to open a settings sidebar. All options are in one place, so there is no need to visit the browser's extensions page.

💾 Session cache: Each unique lyric line is translated only once per session. Repeated choruses and revisited songs load instantly.

🔒 Privacy
Versa collects no personal data. Your preferences (language, shortcuts, theme) are saved locally via Chrome's built-in storage sync. There are no external accounts, no analytics, and no tracking.
