About
Download Twitter / X threads as clean, LLM-friendly markdown in one click. The full thread, every reply branch, quoted tweets, image alt-text, and working links, all stitched into a single .md file you can paste straight into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or your notes. Built for people who feed Twitter content into language models and are tired of copy-pasting one tweet at a time, losing thread structure, and hand-stripping the UI junk around the actual text. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open any tweet or thread on twitter.com or x.com. 2. Click the Download button that appears in the tweet's header bar. 3. The thread is extracted in your browser and saved as a markdown file. Open it, paste it, prompt your LLM. WHAT GETS CAPTURED - The original tweet, author handle, display name, timestamp, and permalink. - Every reply in the visible thread tree, nested so the conversation flow is preserved. - Quoted tweets, with a link back to the source. - Image alt-text and the real URLs behind shortened t.co links. - Plain, structured markdown. No tracking pixels, no UI cruft, no screenshots. WHY MARKDOWN, WHY LLM-FRIENDLY The output is shaped the way a language model expects to read a conversation: clear author labels, indented replies, real links. Drop the file into ChatGPT or Claude and ask "summarize this thread," "what is the strongest counter-argument here," or "extract every claim with a source" and the model can actually follow who said what. USE CASES - Researchers archiving primary-source threads before they're deleted. - Journalists pulling quotes with full context, not just a screenshot. - Writers building a swipe file of strong threads for a topic. - Founders saving customer-feedback threads into Notion or Obsidian. - Anyone who reads Twitter in tabs and reads back in markdown. PRICING - Free: 2 thread downloads per day. - Webmatrices Pro: unlimited downloads. Sign in with your Webmatrices account the first time you click Download. The same account works across every Webmatrices extension (Reddit, Fiverr, more coming). PRIVACY - We only read the tweet you explicitly choose to download. No background scraping, no tracking your browsing, no reading other tabs. - Extraction happens locally in your browser. The thread content is not uploaded to our servers. - We log usage events (a counter that you downloaded something, plus the tweet permalink for support purposes) so we can enforce the free-tier quota. Nothing else. - Full privacy policy: https://webmatrices.com/privacy SINGLE PURPOSE This extension does one thing: it adds a Download button to twitter.com / x.com that exports the current thread as a markdown file. It does not post, like, follow, or modify any account state.
