About
SourceHound is a reseller's research tool. The browser extension overlays an estimated resale value and expected profit on every listing card as you browse Facebook Marketplace, eBay, and ShopGoodwill — so you can spot profitable inventory before anyone else.
How it works
• Browse a marketplace normally — no special workflow
• Every visible listing gets a small badge: 🔥 for great deals, 👍 for maybe, 💩 for skip
• The badge shows expected profit, margin, and the estimated resale value
• Click through to act on the deals you like
• Tap the refresh icon if a seller drops their price while you're on the page
• Your evaluation history syncs back to your sourcehound.ai dashboard for review
Requires a SourceHound account (free trial available at sourcehound.ai). You stay in control — the extension never bids, buys, or messages sellers. It reads listing cards on the three supported marketplaces only, and sends sanitized metadata (title, price, image URL, listing ID) to our evaluation API.
What the extension does NOT do
• Read pages outside Facebook Marketplace, eBay, or ShopGoodwill
• Bid, buy, or message sellers on your behalf
• Bundle third-party trackers, analytics, or affiliate-link rewriting
• Collect data about marketplace sellers (no profiles, no contact info, no PII)
Full privacy policy: https://www.sourcehound.ai/extension-privacy.html
Supported marketplaces
• Facebook Marketplace (you must be signed into Facebook)
• eBay search, browse, and item pages
• ShopGoodwill search, category, and item pages
Notes for reviewer:
In Chrome Web Store Developer Dashboard → SourceHound item → "Privacy practices" or "Distribution → Single-purpose description → Notes to the reviewer" (exact field name varies by listing):
Sign-in uses Auth0 (OAuth 2.0 PKCE). Test account for review:
Email: [email protected]
Password: Chungus2024!
How to verify functionality after sign-in:
1. Click the SourceHound toolbar icon and sign in with the
credentials above. The popup will show your account and
remaining evaluation quota.
2. Visit any product listing on:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/...
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/...
https://shopgoodwill.com/item/...
The extension overlays an AI-generated profit estimate on
each listing card.
3. The sign-in error reported in the previous review (reference
"Red Potassium") was caused by an Auth0 callback URL that was
not whitelisted for the production extension ID. That URL has
now been added to our Auth0 tenant, and v0.1.1 of the
extension also includes clearer error messaging that prints
the exact callback URL for any future operator who hits a
similar config issue.
