About

FormKeeper automatically saves what you type into web forms — so a crash, a closed tab, a session timeout, or a page error never wipes your work again.

Just type like you normally would. FormKeeper saves every field in the background. If something goes wrong, reopen the page and click Restore. Your text comes back exactly as you left it.

FEATURES
─────────────────────────────────
✅ Auto-saves as you type — no buttons, no setup, just type
✅ One-click restore — a quiet banner appears when saved data is found
✅ Per-field draft history — roll back to an earlier version of any field
✅ Dashboard — search, preview, restore, or delete saved data for any page
✅ Floating quick-save button — visible shortcut to save or open the dashboard
✅ Keyboard shortcuts — save now, restore, open dashboard (fully configurable)
✅ Auto-restore mode — skip the banner and restore automatically on trusted sites
✅ Light / dark / system theme + accent color picker
✅ Configurable banner style, position, and timeout
✅ Per-site enable/disable — turn FormKeeper off on sites you don't need it
✅ Export & import — back up all your saved data as JSON
✅ Works on SPAs and dynamically loaded forms (React, Vue, Angular, etc.)

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
─────────────────────────────────
Everything stays on your device. FormKeeper uses Chrome's local storage — nothing is ever sent to a server, and the developer cannot see your data. There are no accounts, no tracking, and no analytics.

Password fields, credit-card fields, and one-time-code (OTP) fields are never saved — this is built in and cannot be turned off.

─────────────────────────────────
PERMISSIONS
─────────────────────────────────
• storage — saves your form input and settings locally on your device
• activeTab — reads and restores form fields on your current page
• scripting — injects the save/restore logic into the page
• commands — powers the configurable keyboard shortcuts
