About
Jump to any moment in a YouTube video with a single keypress.
YouTube Timestamp Keybind lets you bind keyboard shortcuts to specific timestamps in any video, so you never have to scrub the seek bar to find your favorite part again — the chorus of a song, the start of a tutorial section, a highlight in a stream VOD, whatever you rewatch often.
FEATURES
Custom keybinds — Press any key or key combination (with Ctrl, Alt, Shift, or Meta) and bind it to a timestamp.
Per-video keybinds — Bindings are tied to the specific video they were created on, so the same key (e.g. "Q") can jump to a different moment on every video you watch.
MM:SS timestamps — Enter times in the natural minutes:seconds format (e.g. 1:30), or plain seconds if you prefer.
Optional labels — Name each keybind ("Intro end", "Chorus", "Part 2 starts") so your list stays organized.
Edit anytime — Update a keybind's key, timestamp, or label without deleting and re-adding it.
Enable/disable toggle — Temporarily turn off a keybind without losing it.
Clear all — Wipe every keybind for the current video in one click.
On-screen confirmation — A brief toast appears over the video confirming where you jumped and to which label.
Synced across devices — Keybinds are saved with your Chrome account, so they follow you to any computer you're signed into.
Safe by design — Keybinds are ignored while you're typing in a text field (search, comments, etc.), so they'll never interfere with normal typing.
HOW TO USE
Open any YouTube video and click the extension icon in your toolbar.
Click the "Key" field, then press the key (or key combination) you want to use.
Enter a timestamp in MM:SS format (e.g. 2:45) and, optionally, a label.
Click "Add Keybind."
On the video, press your chosen key at any time to jump straight to that timestamp.
To edit a keybind, click the pencil icon next to it, adjust the key, time, or label, and click "Save Changes." To temporarily turn one off, click its dot icon. To remove one, click the ✕. To start fresh on a video, use "Clear All."
PERMISSIONS
This extension only runs on youtube.com and only stores the keybinds you create — no browsing history, no video data, and no analytics are collected or transmitted anywhere.Technical
