About

PostRay lets you collect public post data from any Instagram profile and export it to Excel — no account or login needed.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Open any public Instagram profile in Chrome
2. Click the PostRay icon to open the side panel
3. Enter the profile username and select a date range
4. Click "Collect Posts" — PostRay scrolls the page and gathers matching posts automatically
5. Export results to Excel with one click

WHAT IT COLLECTS
• Post captions (text)
• Like count
• Comment count
• Post timestamp

DATA & PRIVACY
• All data is stored locally on your device only
• No data is sent to any external server
• PostRay only reads publicly visible content — it does not access private accounts, bypass login walls, or collect personal information

INTENDED USE
This tool is designed for personal learning, academic research, and data analysis. Commercial use or bulk data resale is not permitted.

NOTES
• Requires Chrome with side panel support (Chrome 114+)
• Only works on public Instagram profiles
• Instagram's page structure may change over time, which could temporarily affect functionality
