About

ResearchTab helps you manage research sessions by saving groups of open tabs, automatically organizing them by topic, and extracting citation metadata for academic sources.

Features:
- Save all open tabs as a research session with one click
- Automatic topic clustering — related tabs are grouped together based on content similarity
- Citation metadata extraction — detects DOIs and arXiv IDs and pulls full reference details
- Add notes to individual tabs or groups for later reference
- Export sessions as Markdown outlines, BibTeX files, or plain text link lists
- Restore entire sessions or individual groups at any time

All data is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to external servers except CrossRef (for fetching citation metadata of detected DOIs).

Built for students, researchers, and anyone managing large amounts of reading material across multiple topics.
