About

Nerd Capture lets you take beautiful, ultra-high-resolution screenshots of any web page. By using Chrome's advanced developer tools emulation, it overrides the page rendering to custom pixel ratios (ranging from 1x to 6x), producing crystal clear images where text, vector shapes, and graphics are razor sharp.

Key Features:
- Ultra-HD Capture: Renders and saves screenshots at custom Device Pixel Ratios (DPR) from 1x to 6x.
- 4:3 Full Page Mode: Resizes the viewport to standard 4:3 dimensions (e.g., 1024x768) to capture print-ready presentations.
- Automatic Scrolling: Safely scrolls page-by-page to capture tall documents.
- No-Stitch Segments: Downloads each screen segment individually to prevent massive, bloated image files and avoid canvas memory crashes.
- Scroll Position Memory: Automatically remembers and returns you to your reading position after capture.

How to use it:
1. Navigate to the web page you want to capture.
2. Click the Nerd Capture extension icon in your toolbar.
3. Choose your Capture Mode: "Visible Area", "Full Page", or "Element".
4. Adjust the "Pixel Ratio (DPR)" slider (from 1x to 6x) to set the desired resolution.
5. Click "Capture High-Res". The browser will attach the debugger, apply the selected DPR override, download the screenshots to your downloads folder, and restore the page.

Note on Permissions:
This extension uses the `chrome.debugger` API to temporarily emulate high-DPI screens and resize viewports. A warning banner is displayed by Chrome during capture and disappears immediately upon completion. We do not track, collect, or transmit any data off your device.
