Watch videos in any language. SaySame is a live, real-time translator that drops a small bar onto your video and translates the audio as you watch — no waiting, no human captioners, no separate apps. Powered by OpenAI's Realtime Translation API.

WHAT IT DOES

• Voice mode — hear the translated speech alongside the video. The translated voice automatically follows the source speaker's tone.

• Text mode — see translated captions only, no voice. About 40% cheaper than voice mode if you don't need to hear it out loud.

• Live cost ticker — see exactly what each session is costing you, second by second. No surprises on your bill.

• Mid-session language switch — change your target language without restarting the session.

• Resizable, draggable, transparent bar — set it up so it doesn't get in the way of what you're watching. Position and size persist across sessions.

• Live captions with show/hide toggle in voice mode.

• Independent volume sliders for the original audio and the translated voice — mix them however you want.

• Your OpenAI API key is stored locally in your own browser. It never leaves your device except to authenticate with the translation service.
• Audio is streamed directly from your browser to the translation service — we never see, route, or log any of your video, audio, or translations.

WHAT YOU NEED

• A Chromium-based browser.
• An API key with access to OpenAI's Realtime API. Get one at https://platform.openai.com/api-keys — typical cost is around $0.034 per minute for voice mode and around $0.02 per minute for text mode.
• A video on a supported site.
