English Next turns any webpage or PDF into a language-learning tool. Highlight text to get an instant translation, then save sentences to your English Next account so you can review them later — across devices.

• Auto-detect source language — The extension detects the source language automatically, or you can pick from 15+ languages.
• Text-to-speech — Click the speaker to hear the original or translated text pronounced.
• Smart PDF cleanup — Copying from PDFs often breaks words across line breaks. English Next automatically joins hyphenated words and flattens line breaks so your translation is clean.
• Save sentences to your account — Bookmark any translation to your English Next account. The sentence, translation, source page URL, and page title are saved together.
• Review anywhere — Access your saved sentences from the extension or from the English Next web app at english-next-black.vercel.app.
• Dark mode — Matches your system, or toggle manually.
• Free to use — Uses Google Translate's public endpoint by default. You can plug in your own Google Cloud Translation API key for higher rate limits.

How it works

Install the extension.
Click the English Next icon to sign in with your English Next account (free at english-next-black.vercel.app).
Highlight text on any webpage. Click the floating icon to open the translation panel.
Click the bookmark to save the sentence — review it later in the extension or on the web app.
Privacy
