## Permission Justifications

### storage
Securely stores user authentication tokens and extension preferences locally on your device. No data is sent to third parties.

### activeTab
Detects if the current tab contains a PDF file and enables the save functionality. Only accesses the active tab when you click the extension icon.

### contextMenus
Creates a convenient right-click menu option to quickly save PDF links. Only appears when right-clicking on PDF links.

### tabs
Accesses the current tab's URL and title when saving PDFs to properly name and organize your files. Also used to open saved PDFs in new tabs from the extension.

### identity
Enables secure Google OAuth authentication for signing in with your Google account. No passwords are stored in the extension.

### notifications
Displays desktop notifications to confirm successful PDF saves or alert you to any errors. Can be disabled in your browser settings.

### host_permissions (http://*/*, https://*/*)
Required to download PDF files from any website you visit and upload them to your PDF Buddy account. This allows you to save PDFs from any domain without restrictions.
