    description
The GEO Visibility Tool from iGods turns any webpage into a one-click Technical GEO score. Open the extension on a tab and instantly see whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and other AI crawlers can read, understand, and surface that page in their answers.

    WHAT IT TESTS

The GEO Visibility Tool inspects the on-page factors that decide whether modern AI crawlers can successfully ingest and represent a page — the same structural signals they rely on to decide which sources to cite and summarize.

WHAT YOU GET IN THE POPUP

    • Overall Technical GEO score (0–100) for the current page, color-coded so you know at a glance whether it's healthy, borderline, or in trouble.
    • Six-category breakdown of on-page technical factors:
       – JavaScript
       – Semantic HTML
       – Headings
       – Schema.org
       – Social
       – Accessibility
    • A direct link into the full GEO Visibility Tool web report for that URL — historical scores, fix-it guidance, and team sharing.
    • Quick links to your dashboard, settings, and pricing.

    NO SIGNUP REQUIRED

Anonymous users get 25 free analyses every month — no account, no credit card, no setup. Sign in for a Personal (250 analyses/mo), Pro (750 analyses/mo), or Enterprise (5,000 analyses/mo) tier when you need more analyses, longer history, or team features.

BUILT FOR THE AI ANSWER ERA

Traditional SEO audits were designed for keyword-and-link ranking. The GEO Visibility Tool is built for the new crawler set — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and the broader generative-AI search landscape — that decides which pages get quoted, summarized, and cited in AI answers. The six categories map to the structural signals those systems actually depend on.

    WHO IT'S FOR

    • GEO and search consultants checking client pages on the fly
    • Developers verifying semantic HTML, schema, and rendering
    • Content marketers sanity-checking before publish
    • Accessibility leads spotting WCAG regressions
    • Anyone preparing pages for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude

    WHAT'S NEW IN v0.2.15

    • Sign-in carries over to the website. Anonymous analyses you run from the popup now open the full report on geo.igods.com without bouncing you to a login screen — the session is properly scoped to the page that ran the test.
    • Sign out from the popup. A new Sign out link in the popup footer ends your session everywhere via authoritative server-side revocation, so a leaked cookie can't be replayed afterward.
    • Toolbar badge reliably shows your latest score again, including for anonymous users.
    • Popup remembers your last result — reopen on the same page within an hour and your latest analysis comes back instantly with no re-run.
    • Clickable overall and per-category scores jump straight into the matching section of the full report (Cmd / Ctrl / middle-click opens in a background tab).
    • Tighter popup layout, sharper Options field descriptions, and the internal-only API environment selector is hidden unless you're signed in as an admin or tester.
    • Stability fixes: resolved popup scrolling for anonymous users, a 403 on anonymous report views, a server-side handshake that occasionally left sign-in stuck, an off-by-one in the anonymous quota reset date for users west of UTC, and a CSS bug that let the internal API environment row leak onto the Options page for signed-out users.

    • Site detection on geo.igods.com. The website can now recognize when you have the extension installed and tailor the experience accordingly — no more being prompted to install something you already have.

    • First-run pin prompt. The first few times you open the popup, a small hint at the top reminds you to pin the GVT icon to your toolbar so it's always one click away. The hint dismisses itself after a few opens, hides as soon as you run an analysis, and can be dismissed manually with a single click.

    • Optional keyboard shortcut. Open the popup with a keyboard shortcut of your choice. Chrome doesn't let extensions pre-assign shortcuts, so you bind one yourself from chrome://extensions/shortcuts — a one-click link is available in both the popup footer and the Options page.

    • No new permissions. v1.0.0 adds no new permission strings or host permissions over v0.2.15.

    WHAT'S NEW IN v0.2.2

    • Clickable scores. Click the overall score to open the full Overview for that exact test, or click any of the six category scores to jump straight to that category's deep-dive page — no re-running, same Test ID.
    • Cmd-click / Ctrl-click / middle-click on any score opens it in a background tab, exactly as you'd expect from any normal link.
    • Tab-aware toolbar badge — the score reflects the page you're actually looking at and clears when you switch to a tab that hasn't been analyzed.
    • "View full report" jumps straight to your existing test by Test ID instead of starting a new analysis — no more accidentally burning a credit.
    • Test ID surfaced in the popup with a one-click copy button.
    • Tighter popup layout so all six category scores fit above the fold.
    • New `tabs` permission required for the tab-scoped badge — Chrome will prompt existing users to approve it on update.

WHAT'S NEW IN v1.0.0

Our symbolic 1.0 milestone — an onboarding-polish update. The extension is feature-complete for everyday GEO analysis, and this release focuses on the small touches that help first-time and returning users get set up faster.

• No new permissions. v1.0.0 adds no new permission strings or host permissions over v0.2.15.

Previous release (v0.2.15) highlights, still in v1.0.0:
