  FormVault Rescue helps you avoid retyping long browser forms after a reload, timeout, crash, or accidental navigation. Open a long form, click the extension, enable local protection for the current tab, and FormVault saves eligible text fields in browser storage while excluding passwords, payment fields, email, phone, address, IDs, hidden fields, OTP codes, and other sensitive inputs. You can restore saved text into matching fields, copy saved text locally, delete the page draft, or copy a recovery receipt that proves what was protected without including draft text. The first version is deliberately narrow: no account, no backend, no analytics, no remote AI, no ads, no persistent host permissions, no content scripts running before your click, no form submission, and no cross-device sync.
