About
NGSS Lens helps science teachers make sense of NGSS performance expectation codes while browsing curriculum pages, district planning documents, resource lists, and teacher discussions. When a page contains a code such as HS-LS2-1 or MS-PS1-2, NGSS Lens highlights it and provides a quick teacher-facing decode: a plain-English read of the performance expectation the SEP, DCI, and CCC pieces observable student evidence moves a common “watch out” to avoid superficial alignment links to official NGSS and OpenSciEd resources The side panel keeps a selected PE open while teachers continue reading. This makes NGSS Lens useful as a lightweight navigation layer over NGSS-related resources, not a replacement for official standards. This beta release runs locally in the browser. It does not connect to ADAPT-AI, does not require login, does not send page content to any server, and does not call an AI API.
