TrustedOrigin is an automatic browser safety extension: real-time web protection that checks every site you visit for malware, phishing, weak SSL/TLS, and other real security risks - no clicking, no lasting URLs, it just works in the background as you browse.

A quiet toolbar badge shows the result at a glance - a green checkmark for a genuinely safe site, an amber grade for a middling one, a red mark for a serious problem. Click it any time for the full breakdown. If a site is actually flagged for malware or phishing, you'll also get a desktop alert
that stays on screen until you act on it - we don't interrupt you for a merely low score, only for a real, active risk.

BUILT ON A REAL SECURITY ENGINE
This runs on the same public Trust Audit engine that powers trustedorigin.org/audit - live checks against real security and reputation signals, not a static blocklist.

YOUR PRIVACY
Only the domain name of the site you're on is ever read or sent (never the full address, page content, or your browsing history). Nothing is written to disk long-term - results are cached in memory for your current browser session only, and cleared the moment you close Chrome. Full details in the extension's own Settings page.
