Eighth Element uses our proprietary AI-powered algorithm to help medical professionals identify keywords and make smart billing code recommendations in order to save time, cut costs, reduce risks and optimize medical billing practices.

Chrome plugin is easy to install, and simple to use. Start by copy+pasting text into the form field, or using the OCR image reader or voice dictation tool to convert voice to text. Some users will use Eighth Element as a scribe to convert entire sessions to text that can be converted to charts, or copy+pasted back into EHR Systems, thus removing the need to pay for other voice dictation tools.

Once text is entered and scanned, 8th Element uses AI to identify keywords and recommend corresponding CPT and ICD (medical billing) codes. These codes are simple to copy and paste back into patient records, thus ensuring complete, accurate and optimized billing charts for doctors, clinics and hospitals.

Aside from scanning your text inputs, 8th Element also offers deeper Search functionality to find codes and macros for any term you enter. You can also choose to enter multiple codes into NCCI edits which confirms whether certain codes can or should be used in conjunction with one another.

With our proprietary Chart Builder functionality, you can create complete simple and secure SOAP Notes which can be downloaded to print or share.

Since the 8th Element software is a Chrome plugin, it is agnostic and works with any EHR or EMR chart, record or system.
