Paper check helps researchers quickly see whether papers shown in Google Scholar, KipHub, or compatible scholarly search sites already exist in their local literature collection.

The extension lets users build a local paper index by importing a Markdown literature list or scanning a folder that contains PDF papers. After the index is created, Paper check marks search results directly on supported scholarly search pages, so users can reduce duplicate downloads, repeated reading, and unnecessary literature organization work.

Main features:
- Mark whether each search result exists in the local paper index.
- Support Google Scholar, Google Scholar HK, KipHub, and user-enabled compatible scholarly search sites.
- Import literature records from a Markdown list.
- Scan a local PDF folder and extract readable paper information when available.
- Show matching details such as title, authors, year, DOI, source, and file name.
- Store the paper index locally in the browser.
- Support English and Simplified Chinese interfaces.

Privacy:
Paper check works locally in the user's browser. It does not upload the user's literature index, PDF files, paper metadata, or browsing data to any server. All JavaScript, CSS, icons, and PDF parsing files are included inside the extension package.
