About
Security warnings tell you something is wrong. SafeLens explains what was found, why it matters, and what to do next. SafeLens is a privacy-first browser extension that helps you understand the risks behind suspicious websites in plain language. When you visit a website, SafeLens analyzes the URL using local security checks and a locally stored phishing feed. If it detects something unusual, it explains what it found, why it matters, and what you can do next. What SafeLens checks: • Lookalike website addresses that imitate trusted brands • Brand impersonation patterns using words such as login, verify, account, or secure • Hidden destinations that disguise where a link actually leads • Raw IP address links instead of recognizable domain names • Look-alike characters designed to mimic legitimate websites • Deep subdomain structures that can hide the true owner of a website • Known phishing websites identified by the OpenPhish community feed Human Security Coach Most security tools provide a verdict. SafeLens provides an explanation. For every warning, SafeLens explains: • What we found • Why it matters • What you can do next The goal is not only to warn users, but to help them understand online risks and make safer decisions while browsing. Privacy First SafeLens performs all URL analysis locally inside your browser. Your browsing activity is not sent to our servers. The extension periodically downloads the public OpenPhish phishing feed so that phishing checks remain up to date. Website addresses you visit are never transmitted to OpenPhish or to any third party. SafeLens does not collect personal information, store browsing history, use analytics trackers, display advertisements, or sell user data. Install SafeLens and browse with a clearer understanding of the websites you visit.
