  Slumber automatically suspends inactive tabs to free up memory. When you click a suspended tab, it restores instantly — exactly where you left off.

  Why install it?  Chrome tabs consume hundreds of megabytes even when you haven't touched them in hours. Slumber quietly puts idle tabs to sleep so your active ones run faster. No crashes, no slowdowns, no lost work.

  Always safe
  Slumber never suspends your active tab, pinned tabs, tabs playing audio, or tabs with unsaved form input. It uses Chrome's own native discard API — the same technology behind Chrome's built-in Memory Saver.
