About
NC-Pilot is a chat-driven browser automation agent — a side panel that connects to a model you choose and acts on web pages for you. BRING YOUR OWN MODEL • Ollama (runs locally — fully private, nothing leaves your machine) • OpenAI • Anthropic WHAT IT DOES Type a task in plain language and NC-Pilot works through it step by step: read the page, find the right elements, click, type, fill and submit forms, navigate, open and group tabs, search history, and download files. It shows each step, and in Ask mode it asks your approval before any action that changes a page. WHY NC-PILOT • Your model, your keys — API keys are stored locally and sent only to the provider you pick. There is no NC-Pilot server. • Private option — with Ollama, everything runs on your own computer. • Watch every move — a virtual cursor highlights each target; Ask Permission mode (default) requires your approval for clicks, typing, form submits, navigation and downloads. • Built for real pages — reads forms (labels, types, required fields), fills by matching values to labels, verifies results before claiming success, and groups a task's tabs so you can see its scope. • Light and dark themes, editable chat names, and full chat history. SAFETY Page content is treated as untrusted — NC-Pilot never follows instructions hidden inside a page. Keep Ask Permission mode on for logged-in or sensitive sites. Open source (MIT). HOW TO START 1. Install and open the side panel. 2. Open Settings, choose a backend (Ollama / OpenAI / Anthropic), and enter your key or local URL. 3. Type a task and approve actions as they come up.
