About

Linkding Extension Plus is a companion extension for the self-hosted linkding bookmark manager. It enhances the original extension with a fast, browsable bookmark tree directly in the popup — so you can find and open your bookmarks without leaving the current page.

Bookmark Tree
The popup opens with a file-explorer-style tree view, organized by your linkding tags. Folders can be expanded and collapsed, and the extension remembers which folders you had open and where you scrolled — every time you open the popup.

Favicons & tree connectors
Each bookmark shows the website's favicon. Folders display a folder icon, and tree connectors (├ / └) make the hierarchy easy to read at a glance.

Right-click context menu
Right-click any bookmark to choose how to open it:
• New tab
• Same tab
• Edit — opens the bookmark directly in the edit form

Bundle Filter
linkding supports Bundles — saved filter presets that group bookmarks by tags or search terms. With the Bundle Filter setting you can limit the tree to one or more bundles (comma-separated). Useful if you want to keep work and personal bookmarks separate, or focus on a specific project.

Add & edit bookmarks
The original add-bookmark form is still fully available. Click "+ Add" to bookmark the current page, with tag autocomplete, description, notes, and unread/share flags. Existing bookmarks are pre-filled automatically.

Keyboard shortcut
Press Alt+Shift+L to open the popup from any tab.

Omnibox search
Type "ld" in the address bar followed by your search query to search your linkding bookmarks directly from the browser address bar.

Requirements
• A running linkding instance (self-hosted, v1.24 or later recommended)
• Your linkding API token (found under Settings in your linkding web interface)

Setup
After installing, click the gear icon in the popup to open the settings page and enter your linkding URL and API token.
