About

Media Quick Saver lets you save selected media from web pages with a simple hover-and-click workflow.

Core features:

Shift+Click saving: Hover an image or video, hold Shift, and click to save the selected media.
Automatic format selection: The extension chooses the output format automatically: JPEG for still images, GIF for animated image sources, and MP4/WebM for downloadable videos.
Hover highlight: Media under the cursor is highlighted, so you can clearly see what will be saved before clicking.
JPEG quality control: Adjust JPEG quality for still images directly from the extension popup.
Animated GIF support: Existing GIF files are saved as-is when possible, and compatible animated image sources can be converted to GIF.
Video download support: Downloads direct MP4/WebM video sources when a page exposes a usable media URL.
Best-effort streaming support: Can assemble some compatible HLS/DASH MP4 streams into a single downloadable MP4.
Reddit and RedGifs support: Includes best-effort handling for embedded media and pages that use hidden or dynamic media sources.
Progress indicator: Shows download/conversion progress for heavier GIFs and videos.
Custom Downloads subfolder: Save files into a chosen subfolder inside Chrome’s default Downloads directory.
Optional Save As dialog: Let Chrome ask where to save each file if you want to choose a folder manually.
Local processing: Image conversion runs locally in the browser; the extension does not send your media to a developer-operated server.
