About

Detects cookie banners, reduces tracker activity, and helps you browse with more privacy and less annoyance.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a *beta version*, so bugs, errors, and imperfect site support are expected. The developer is actively improving it, but this is a *hobby project*, so not every issue can be fixed immediately.

If you find the project useful, you can support development with a small donation, such as €5.

Full description

Cookie Consent Automation Extension helps reduce cookie banner frustration and unnecessary tracking while you browse.

It detects common consent platforms, finds custom cookie banners, checks existing consent signals, and applies a privacy-first strategy. The extension also supports delayed banners, single-page app navigation, open shadow roots, allowlists, blocklists, and an emergency stop if a site behaves unexpectedly.

This is a beta release. Site support is not perfect, some provider-specific automation is still limited, and users should keep the emergency stop available for websites that behave unexpectedly.

*What it does*

- Detects common cookie banners
- Reduces tracker activity
- Checks consent state
- Supports delayed banners and SPA navigation
- Works with open shadow roots
- Includes allowlist and blocklist controls
- Includes a global emergency stop
- Reports whether protection appears active

PRIVACY_POLICY
https://github.com/Rix1113/CookieBanner/blob/main/PRIVACY_POLICY.md

## Data Sharing

The extension does not sell user data.

The extension does not send browsing history, page content, consent state, audit logs, or settings to the developer's server.

If the user clicks the donation link, the browser opens PayPal in a new tab. PayPal's own privacy policy applies to that external site.

## Permissions

The extension requests browser permissions needed to read and update settings, inspect page status, communicate with content scripts, and apply declarative network request rules for tracker blocking.
