Vocabical Blocks is a mindful productivity tool designed to help language learners rebuild their relationship with distracting websites. Instead of completely blocking your favorite sites or letting you browse mindlessly, Vocabical Blocks interrupts your automatic habits with a short, educational roadblock.

To gain temporary access to a blocked site, you must complete a bite-sized reading comprehension quiz based on real-world English articles. Read the passage, test your understanding, and earn browse credits!

• Smart Intercept: Automatically intercepts visits to your self-configured blocklists (handles subdomains and custom exclusions).
• Premium Audio Voiceovers: Listen to natural English voiceovers for each reading passage to improve your listening and pronunciation.
• Credit Economy: Earn browse credits by completing quizzes. Choose to save your credits or use them to skip a quiz when you're in a rush.
• Custom Unlock Durations: Spend credits to unlock blocked sites for 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Once the timer expires, the page locks back up.
• Exclusions & Sub-sites: Set specific paths or subdomains to remain unlocked (e.g. block "youtube.com" but exclude "youtube.com/c/EducationalChannel").
• Private & Local: Your settings, blocklists, stats, and credits stay 100% private on your device in local storage. No accounts, tracking, or telemetry.

📚 HOW IT WORKS:

1. Add distracting domains (e.g., twitter.com, reddit.com) to your blocklist in the extension popup.
2. The next time you visit a blocked site, you are redirected to a beautiful, distraction-free reading quiz page.
3. Solve the multi-choice quiz based on the passage to unlock the site.
4. Customize your unlock sessions: study longer for a longer browsing session, or spend saved credits to bypass immediately!
