About
MyFaves is your personal start page — a clean, password-protected tile grid of every link you live in, served from your own subdomain. This extension makes it effortless to keep that page in sync with your browsing. WHAT IT DOES • One-click save the current tab to your MyFaves page. Title and URL pre-fill from the active tab. Optional category and description. "Already saved" detection so you don't end up with duplicates. • Optional new-tab override: flip a toggle in the popup and every fresh tab opens your MyFaves tile page (or your custom domain, if you have one). Off by default — we won't change your new-tab behaviour without you asking. • Works across every browser session. Sync is via your MyFaves account, not browser bookmarks, so your saves show up wherever you sign in. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the extension. 2. In your MyFaves dashboard (https://myfaves.io), generate a personal API token. 3. Paste it into the extension popup. 4. From any tab, click the MyFaves icon → fill the form → Save. PRIVACY • Local-only token storage. Your API token lives in chrome.storage.local on your device. It never leaves your browser except as a Bearer header to myfaves.io API calls when you save a tab. • No tracking. No analytics. No browsing history. No telemetry of any kind. The extension cannot read tab content — it only reads the URL and title of the active tab when you click the toolbar button. • You can disconnect at any time from the popup to wipe local storage, or uninstall to remove it entirely. Full policy at https://myfaves.io/privacy.php#extension REQUIRES A MyFaves account (free or paid) at https://myfaves.io. The free plan covers most users — up to 15 favourites, 3 share links, no extra cost. OPEN SOURCE The extension is open source. Source at https://github.com/kristen-Stacksy/myfaves/tree/main/extension
