About

WordLens is a zero-friction English dictionary that works fully offline. Select a word on any webpage to get an instant definition in a small tooltip. No internet connection is required after install. No account. No analytics or telemetry. No data is sent to any server during normal use.

Requires access to pages only to enable the select-to-define feature on any site. It only acts on text you explicitly select or right-click.

• WORKS FULLY OFFLINE after install. The entire 77,844-entry WordNet 3.1 dictionary is bundled inside the extension. Turn off WiFi, definitions keep working.
• NO DATA IS SENT TO ANY SERVER during normal use. The extension has no backend.
• NO ANALYTICS OR TELEMETRY of any kind. No usage logging, crash reporting, or third-party SDKs.

SELECT TO DEFINE
• Highlight any word or short phrase like "ad hoc" or "deep learning". A compact tooltip shows part of speech, definition, and an example sentence.
• Right-click → "Define" also works.
• Double-click lookup works across most sites including single-page apps.
• Pronounce using on-device voice and save words directly from the tooltip.
• Disable tooltip per site from settings.

DEFINITION POPUP
• Click the toolbar icon, type a word, press Enter.
• Multi-sense results grouped by part of speech.
• Fuzzy suggestions for misspellings.
• Copy full definition with one click.

MY WORDS
