About

🎯 RatioMeter for YouTube
The real rating system YouTube doesn’t want you to see.

You know the struggle. You click a video with a flashy title and a killer thumbnail… and 30 seconds in, you realize it’s mid. Or worse complete clickbait.

That’s where RatioMeter comes in.

RatioMeter for YouTube is a Chrome extension that gives you real insight into a video before you watch it. It adds a clean, customizable overlay to YouTube videos showing you actual like/dislike data, how engaged viewers are, and even a simple tier rating so you can tell what’s worth your time.

🔍 What RatioMeter shows you (and why it matters):

📈 Tier Rating
Think S-tier to F-tier, based on how much people actually liked the video. Quick to read, surprisingly accurate. If it’s sitting at “A+”, you know it’s gonna be good.

👍 Like Ratio (%)
The percentage of people who hit “like” vs. total votes (likes + dislikes). YouTube stopped showing this, but RatioMeter brings it back.

⭐ Rating (0–10)
It’s like Rotten Tomatoes or IMDb, but for YouTube. The math is based on the like ratio, converted into an easy-to-read score.

🔢 Total Votes
See how many people voted likes AND dislikes combined. A 98% like ratio from 420 people? Not the same as from 72,727.

📊 Engagement Rate
This tells you how interactive the audience is. More votes per view = more engagement. High engagement usually means a more interesting or polarizing video.

🧪 Powered by Real Data
This extension uses the Return YouTube Dislike API, which pulls community-sourced like/dislike counts to give you the full picture something YouTube itself removed.

⚙️ Make it yours
You can toggle everything. Don’t care about engagement rate? Hide it. Want the labels (“Tier:”, “Rating:”, etc.) gone for a cleaner look? Easy. You’re in control.

💡 Why use RatioMeter?
Stop wasting time on low-effort content
Get a vibe check before you commit to watching
Discover underrated videos with high ratios and low views
Take back the power to rate content honestly

🧠 TL;DR
RatioMeter puts the real ratings back on YouTube tiers, ratios, and all. No more guessing. No more getting baited. Just good content, upfront.
