About

Twitter (X) Advanced Search Helper is a browser extension that simplifies Twitter Advanced Search, designed to help you conduct investigation and research work more easily and efficiently.

Twitter's native Advanced Search is buried behind menus, lacks keyboard access, and forgets every query the moment you close it. This extension surfaces every search operator — keywords, users, dates, engagement, media, language — into a single clean panel that lives on every page of twitter.com and x.com. Build precise queries in seconds, save them as reusable templates, and revisit your full search history without ever leaving the timeline.

🔍 Features

Timeline View — Browse any user's posts month by month. The fastest way to audit a public figure's statements over time, find a tweet you swear was posted "last spring," or pull a clean date-bounded window for research and fact-checking.

Search History — every query you run from the panel is auto-saved (last 50), deduplicated, and reloadable in one click.

Search Templates — save any configuration as a named template. Perfect for daily brand monitoring, weekly competitive sweeps, or any repeating research workflow.

Sidebar Quick Access — a subtle blue button is injected next to Twitter's existing search bar so the panel is always one click away.

Keyboard shortcut — Ctrl+Shift+S (Windows/Linux) or ⌘+Shift+S (macOS) toggles the panel from anywhere.

💡 Use Cases

Marketing, product, and business analysis
  - Track every mention of your brand within a specific month or campaign window
  - Filter to high-engagement complaints (min_retweets:10) to triage feedback efficiently
  - Run repeated competitive sweeps with saved templates so the methodology stays consistent
  - Use Timeline view to build trend reports across an influencer's posting history

  Creators and community managers
  - Resurface your own historical tweets to repurpose into threads or blog posts
  - Discover rising voices in your niche with engagement-filtered searches
  - Locate that one community quote you wanted to spotlight
  - Pull a focused reading list of an influencer's most active months

  Researchers, journalists, and OSINT analysts
  - Find statements made by a public figure in any specific month they were active
  - Cross-reference who mentioned a topic during a key date range
  - Filter to verified accounts when sourcing claims; exclude retweets and replies to isolate original statements
  - Save evidence-gathering templates so investigative methodology is reproducible across cases

🚀 How to Use

  1. Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Visit twitter.com or x.com — the extension activates only on these domains.
  3. Open the panel via any of three entry points:
    - Click the blue search button injected next to Twitter's sidebar search bar
    - Click the extension icon in the browser toolbar
    - Press Ctrl+Shift+S (or ⌘+Shift+S on macOS)
  4. Build your query by filling any combination of fields — the live preview confirms what Twitter will receive.
  5. Hit Search to jump directly to results, or Save as template for reuse.
  6. For month-by-month per-user browsing, navigate to any user's profile and switch to the Timeline tab — the calendar
   populates automatically.
