About

Remember booting up the family computer? RetrOS turns every new tab into a cozy
turn-of-the-millennium desktop — windows you can drag, resize, minimize and
maximize, a Start menu, a working taskbar clock, and a pile of built-in apps.

DESKTOP
• Draggable, resizable windows with minimize / maximize, a Start menu and a live
  taskbar clock + calendar.
• Desktop icons you can rearrange (snap-to-grid), a right-click menu, and sticky
  notes you can drop anywhere.
• A Recycle Bin that actually holds your deleted notes and shortcuts (restore or
  empty them).

APPS
• Notepad, a Calculator, Paint (your drawing is saved), a Command Prompt with a
  few hidden commands, a private Shortcuts launcher, and a little in-window web
  browser.

GAMES
• Minesweeper (Beginner / Intermediate / Expert), Solitaire (Klondike), Snake,
  and Blocks — all playable right on your desktop.

LOOK & FEEL
• Six themes inspired by classic operating systems — switch the whole desktop in
  a click.
• RetroTunes, a built-in chiptune music player with a volume control.
• Optional CRT screen effect, an idle screensaver, a boot screen, retro sound
  effects (mute from the taskbar), and a few easter eggs to discover.

Private by design: your settings, themes, notes, drawings, scores and layout are
stored only on your device with the browser's storage. Nothing is collected,
tracked, or sent anywhere. Free, with no ads.
