About

🔐 2FA Authenticator With Autofill Helper helps you scan, save, generate, and autofill two-factor authentication codes directly in your browser.

Scan a setup QR code from any website, save the authenticator account, and let the extension autofill the correct OTP code when the site asks for 2FA. You stay in control because the extension fills the code but does not auto-submit the form.

✨ Key Features

📷 QR Code Scanner
Scan 2FA setup QR codes directly from the current webpage.

➕ Manual Setup
Add a 2FA account manually using a TOTP secret key.

🌐 Auto Site Detection
Automatically detects the current website name and domain.

⚡ OTP Autofill
Fills matching 2FA / OTP / verification code fields automatically.

⏱️ Live Countdown
Shows when the current code will refresh.

🔁 Auto Code Refresh
Updates saved codes and autofilled fields when the TOTP code changes.

🔢 6 & 8 Digit Support
Supports 6-digit codes by default and 8-digit codes when provided by QR setup.

💾 Backup Download
Download a Notepad-friendly .txt backup of your saved 2FA accounts.

🛡️ Manual Submit
The extension fills your code, but you choose when to submit.

🔒 Local Browser Storage
Your saved 2FA data is stored locally in your browser.

🚀 How It Works

1. Open a website’s 2FA setup page.
2. Click the 2FA Authenticator with Autofill Helper icon.
3. Choose Scan.
4. Select the QR code area on the page.
5. The extension saves the account for that website.
6. When the site asks for a 2FA code, the code is autofilled.
7. Review it and submit manually.

🧩 Manual Setup

If a website gives you a text setup key instead of a QR code, click + and add it manually.
The site name and domain are detected automatically, and you can edit them before saving.

💾 Backup

Use Settings → Download backup to save a readable .txt backup.

⚠️ Keep this file private. It contains sensitive 2FA secrets that can generate your authentication codes but 2FA Authenticator and autofill helper store into your local system only.

🔐 Security Note

2FA secrets are sensitive. Anyone with access to your secrets or backup file may be able to generate your login codes. Keep your browser profile and backups protected.
