About

grammar.lol helps you proofread text directly on webpages.

Select text, or focus a text field, then double-tap Right Shift. If text is selected, grammar.lol proofreads the selection. If no text is selected inside an editable field, grammar.lol proofreads the field’s text.

grammar.lol is built for short passages up to 2,000 characters, such as emails, messages, comments, forms, and notes. When supported, the corrected text replaces the original text in place. If a webpage editor does not allow direct replacement, grammar.lol copies the corrected text to your clipboard so you can paste it manually.

Key features:
- Proofread selected text on webpages
- Proofread the focused text field when nothing is selected
- Double-tap Right Shift shortcut
- Replace corrected text in place when supported
- Clipboard fallback for editors that block direct replacement
- Local license and usage stats stored in Chrome storage

grammar.lol only proofreads text after you trigger the shortcut. It does not automatically send page content.
