Capio Meeting Recorder turns your online meetings into accurate transcripts, meeting minutes, and action items — without a bot joining your call.

Open the side panel during any meeting running in a Chrome tab — Google Meet, Microsoft Teams in the browser, or any other tab with audio — and press record. The extension captures the meeting audio together with your microphone, so both sides of the conversation are covered. When you stop, the recording is sent securely to your Capio account, where it is transcribed with speaker labels and turned into structured meeting notes, minutes, and decisions you can edit and share.

WHAT IT DOES
• Record meetings directly from the tab — no bot participant, no screen sharing
• Captures meeting audio and (optionally) your microphone in one mix
• Automatic AI transcription with speaker identification
• Meeting minutes, action items, and decisions generated for you
• Live captions in the side panel while the meeting is happening, with real-time translation (Pro and Team plans)
• Supports English, Dutch, Sranan Tongo, and Sarnami Hindustani

HOW IT WORKS
1. Click the Capio icon on your meeting tab to open the side panel
2. Connect the extension to your Capio account (one-time approval)
3. Press "Start recording" or "Start live captions"
4. Find the finished transcript and minutes in your Capio dashboard

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
The extension only captures audio while you have actively started a recording or caption session, and stops the moment you end it. It does not read your browsing history or the content of pages, and it never records without you pressing start. Audio is sent encrypted to your own Capio account and handled according to our privacy policy: https://capio.iqtbots.ai/privacy

You are responsible for informing meeting participants that the meeting is being recorded, as required by the laws that apply to you. The extension reminds you of this before every session.

REQUIREMENTS
A Capio account is required (https://capio.iqtbots.ai). Recording works on all plans within your monthly quota; live captions and translation require a Pro or Team plan. Works with meetings running in a Chrome tab; desktop meeting apps are not supported.
