About

YouTube Playlist Search adds a real-time search field to every place YouTube shows your playlists — the Save-to-playlist popup, the Playlists library page at youtube.com/feed/playlists, and YouTube Music's add-to-playlist dialog. Type to filter the list as you go.

What it does
- Opens any "Save video to…" popup → search field appears at the top, focused. Type to filter your playlists in real time. The "New playlist" option always stays visible.
- Visit youtube.com/feed/playlists → a search field appears in the chip row above the grid. Type to filter your library.
- YouTube Music's add-to-playlist dialog gets the same search field as the main site.
- Diacritics-insensitive matching. Press Esc to clear. Click × to clear.

Native look
- The search field mirrors YouTube's typography, spacing, border-radius, and theme by reading computed styles from real chips and inputs on the page. It blends in whether you're on light or dark mode, on the main site or on Music.
- Survives YouTube redesigns: detection uses layered fallbacks (custom-element tag → ID → ARIA role → structural heuristic), so when YouTube ships new markup, the extension keeps working until a specific selector can be added.

Privacy you can verify
- Zero permissions declared in the manifest — no storage, no tabs, no host permissions, no activeTab. Only runs inside YouTube pages as a content script.
- No network requests. No analytics. No telemetry. No cookies. No local storage.
- Open source under MIT. The full source is one content script you can read in one sitting: github.com/nimitbhargava/youtube-playlist-search

Getting started
1. Install from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Open any YouTube tab and click "Save" under a video — the search field appears at the top of the popup.
3. On youtube.com/feed/playlists, the search field appears in the chip row above your library.
