Three capture modes
- Full page. The entire scrollable document, stitched into one tall image. Sticky headers and floating elements are hidden during capture so the output looks clean.
- Visible area. Only what is currently in view. Single click, instant capture.
- Selection. Drag a rectangle over the part of the page you want. Pixel accurate cropping, no extra cleanup needed.

Privacy by design
ClipForge captures and processes everything on your device. There is no upload, no cloud sync, no telemetry, no analytics, and no account. Your captures stay in your browser. The only network calls the extension makes are the ones you trigger when you save a file to your downloads folder.

Permissions, plain English
- activeTab. Required to grab a screenshot of the tab you are looking at when you click ClipForge or use a shortcut.

- scripting. Required to inject the capture logic on demand. Nothing runs in the background.
- storage. Required to remember your last twenty captures and your editor preferences locally.
- downloads. Required to save the PNG, JPG, or PDF you choose to keep.
- contextMenus. Required for the right click capture options.

ClipForge does not request broad host permissions. The extension does not run on a page until you explicitly ask it to.
