AI-image detection is probabilistic, not absolute. Even state-of-the-art detectors can be wrong in both directions: real photos can be flagged as AI, and AI-generated images can slip past as real — especially with heavy editing, compression, screenshots, or newer generator models the detector hasn't seen.

This extension is a helpful hint, not proof. Do not use it as the sole basis for any decision that affects people, finances, legal matters, journalism, hiring, moderation, or safety. Always verify with additional sources, metadata, reverse image search, and your own judgment.
