VisualQ Capture

About

VisualQ Capture is the companion Chrome extension for VisualQ Scenario Studio. It lets QA engineers and developers record real user journeys in Chrome and turn them into maintainable FRT (Functional Regression Testing) scenarios.

How it works
1. Open Scenario Studio in VisualQ and start a Detect recording session.
2. Copy the pairing code (VQ-XXXX) shown in VisualQ.
3. Open the target website in Chrome and click the VisualQ Capture icon.
4. Enter the pairing code to connect.
5. Use ARM mode: click once on the site, confirm each Detect proposal, and build your scenario step by step.

Permissions explained
- Storage — keeps your pairing session on this device.
- Tabs / activeTab / scripting — injects the recorder panel on the target site only during an active session you start.
- visualq.ai access — sends recorded steps securely to your VisualQ workspace.
- Optional site access — requested only for the domain you choose to record when pairing.
- Cookies — captures authenticated session state when you explicitly save a login session for FRT replay.
- Debugger — captures full-page screenshots for AI-assisted Detect steps (no remote debugging of other tabs).
- Downloads — detects file downloads triggered during recorded steps.
