About

Inspect OData & $batch requests in DevTools — see real methods, status codes, entities, and search response payloads by property name.

FULL DESCRIPTION:
Easy OData Inspector is a Chrome DevTools panel built for developers working with SAP OData services and applications that use $batch requests.

The problem it solves
The standard Network tab shows every OData call as "$batch" — the actual HTTP method, entity name, and status are hidden inside the request body. Digging through multiple batch payloads to find a single MERGE or DELETE call is slow and tedious.

What this tool does
• Automatically parses $batch envelopes and surfaces each individual sub-request as a separate row — so a MERGE, GET, or DELETE shows up with its real method, URL, and status code.
• Shows the HTTP method (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, MERGE, DELETE) and request type (Read, Create, Update, Delete, Metadata) for every call at a glance.
• Property tracker — type any JSON property name in the search box and the list instantly filters to only the requests whose response payload contains that property. No more opening request after request to find where a field comes from.
• Full detail panel with Overview, Headers, Payload, Response (tree + text view), and Timing tabs for every request.
• Interactive JSON/XML tree viewer for response bodies with collapsible nodes.
• Filter by operation type, HTTP method, entity name, status, source (batch vs direct), or free-text search across URLs and payloads.
• Group batch child requests under their parent envelope.
• Resizable split panes and column widths.
• Works with OData V2 and V4, and any service that uses multipart/mixed batch requests.
• No permissions required — runs entirely inside DevTools.
