    description
Drive Shield adds quantum-safe, end-to-end encryption to your Google Drive workflow. When you upload a file, Drive Shield automatically encrypts it on your device using ML-KEM-768 (a NIST-approved post-quantum key encapsulation mechanism) combined with AES-256-GCM — before the file ever leaves your browser. When you download an encrypted file, it's seamlessly decrypted back to the original. Your encryption keys are generated and stored entirely on your device. No keys, file contents, or personal data are ever sent to any external server — not even ours. Drive Shield is fully transparent: it works quietly in the background on Google Drive, protecting your sensitive documents, photos, and backups from unauthorized access — today and against future quantum computing threats. Back up your key once and use it across browsers. If you lose your key without a backup, your encrypted files cannot be recovered by anyone.

Note: Drive Shield currently supports files up to 50 MB. Larger files will be uploaded without encryption. This limit is due to browser extension memory constraints and may be increased in future updates.
