SCROLL STYLES

Pick the motion that fits your content:

- Linear — constant, even speed from top to bottom.
- Ease-in — starts slow, then speeds up.
- Ease-out — starts fast, then gently slows to a stop.
- Ease-in-out — eases in at the start and out at the end for a polished, natural feel.
- 100vh repeater — scrolls exactly one screen height at a time, pausing between each step until it reaches the bottom. Ideal for section-by-section walkthroughs and slide-style reveals.


FULL CONTROLS

- Video format — export as WebM (default) or MP4.
- Delay before scroll — add a short pause at the top of the page before scrolling begins, so your opening frame has time to breathe.
- Total scroll time — set exactly how many seconds the full top-to-bottom scroll should take.
- 100vh pacing — when using the repeater, set both the scroll time for each screen and the pause length between screens.
- Return to top — optionally glide smoothly back to the top of the page when finished, with its own adjustable duration.


HOW IT WORKS

1. Open the page you want to record.
2. Click the Scroll Record icon and choose your format, scroll style, and timing.
3. Hit "Start recording."
4. A 3-second countdown appears with a reminder not to touch your mouse or keyboard.
5. The extension records the tab while it scrolls itself, exactly to your settings.
6. When it's done, your video downloads automatically.

PRIVACY

Scroll Record works entirely on your own device. Recordings are created locally and saved directly to your computer. The extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, and it does not send your recordings or browsing activity anywhere. No account, no sign-up, no tracking.


NOTES

- Recordings are saved as .webm or .mp4 (your choice). MP4 export requires a recent version of Chrome; if it isn't available, the extension falls back to WebM automatically.
- Audio is not recorded — Scroll Record captures video only.
- Some browser pages can't be recorded by any extension (for example chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store, and the New Tab page). Use it on a normal website tab.
