About

SafeCap is a privacy-first screen recorder for Chrome. Capture demos, bug reports, walkthroughs, and browser meetings while keeping recordings on your own machine.

What you can do:
- Record screen, window, or browser tab video
- Include microphone audio for narration
- Capture system or tab audio when Chrome allows it
- Save recordings locally in your browser
- Browse, search, play, download, and delete your local recording library
- Generate local transcripts, summaries, and chapters when browser-supported features are available

Why SafeCap:
SafeCap is built for recordings that should not automatically become cloud links. It does not require an account, does not run telemetry or analytics, and does not upload your recordings to SafeCap servers. You decide when to download or share a WebM file.

Use SafeCap for product demos, private meeting archives, client handoffs, QA reports, async walkthroughs, and sensitive work that needs a clear recording without another hosted video workspace.
