About

One clipper for every knowledge tool you use

Kliplet is a web clipper that saves articles, highlights, selections,
and screenshots to Notion, Obsidian (via the local REST API),
Logseq (via the desktop HTTP API), Joplin (via the local Data
API), or a downloaded Markdown file — and lets you save to more
than one of them in a single click.

Single purpose

Kliplet is a personal web clipper. Every feature exists to help
you save the page you are reading into the knowledge tool you already
use. We do not run our own service, we do not collect telemetry, and
the same one-click action fans out to all five supported targets
(Notion, Obsidian, Logseq, Joplin, Markdown) — nothing more, nothing
less.

What's in the MVP

- 5 targets: Notion (OAuth), Obsidian (local REST API plugin),
Logseq (desktop HTTP API, default `127.0.0.1:12315`), Joplin (local
Data API, default `127.0.0.1:41184`), Markdown download.
- 5 clip modes: simplified article (Readability), full page,
  selection, screenshot, URL-only.
- Multi-target clipping — save the same page to Notion *and*
Obsidian *and* Logseq *and* Joplin *and* a Markdown file with one
action. Other clippers force you to install one extension per tool
and clip the same page five times.
- Templates with variables — pull title, author, date, tags,
OpenGraph / Schema.org metadata, or arbitrary CSS-selector content
into Notion database properties or Markdown frontmatter. Three
  built-in templates: Article, Recipe, Reference.
- Highlights with persistence — select text, press Alt+H, and the
highlight is anchored with a robust XPath strategy that survives
most DOM changes. Revisit the page and your highlights light up
  again.
- Offline queue — clip without network. Clips wait in a local
queue (IndexedDB) and sync the moment the target comes back online.
- Smart deduplication — if a URL is already in your target,
Kliplet offers to update the existing item instead of making a
  duplicate.
- Localized in 10 languages — English, Russian, Spanish, Japanese,
  simplified Chinese and 5 more.

Privacy

- Page content is processed locally in your browser. Notion clips go
directly from your browser to api.notion.com; Obsidian, Logseq, and
Joplin clips go to the local REST/HTTP API endpoint you configure
(default `127.0.0.1`); Markdown clips never leave your device.
- Kliplet has no server of its own. There is no analytics, no
  telemetry, no third-party tracking.
- Your Notion OAuth token, Obsidian API key, Logseq API key, and
Joplin token are stored in `chrome.storage.local` on your device
  only.

Keyboard shortcuts

- `Alt+S` — open the popup.
- `Alt+Shift+S` — quick clip to your default target without opening
  the popup.
- `Alt+H` — highlight the current selection.
