GlowReadTTS turns any webpage into an audiobook. Highlight some text, right-click, and hear it read aloud in a natural voice while every sentence highlights on the page as it's spoken.

Everything runs on your own device. No account, no API key, no subscription, no internet required. Your text never leaves your computer.

KEY FEATURES

- 15 natural-sounding voices: 8 American (4 female, 3 male, 1 alloy) and 4 British (Emma, Isabella, Fable, George).
- Right-click any selected text on a webpage to hear it read aloud.
- Highlight-as-you-read: a soft yellow highlight follows the spoken sentence, with auto-scroll to keep it in view.
- On-page Stop button appears top-right while reading, so you can halt without opening the popup.
- Type or paste text directly in the popup for things that aren't on a webpage.
- Speed control from 0.25x to 2x.
- Test Voice button to audition any voice before committing.
- Pause, Resume, and Restart from the popup. Audio survives popup close.

- No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking pixels.
- No browsing history collection. No URLs stored.
- No text is ever sent to a server.
- No accounts, no sign-up, no email required.

The extension makes zero network requests during normal operation. Disconnect from the internet and it still works.

2. Right-click on the selection.
