About

Tanvoice Reader helps you listen to selected text on any webpage using your configured Tanvoice voice.

Select text on a webpage, click the floating “▶ 朗读” button, and the extension will send the selected text to your Tanvoice text-to-speech endpoint for playback. It supports pause, resume, stop, automatic long-text chunking, and current-sentence highlighting during playback.

How it works:
1. Select text on any webpage.
2. Click the floating “▶ 朗读” button.
3. Tanvoice Reader sends only the selected text to your configured Tanvoice API.
4. The generated audio is played directly in the browser.

Privacy:
Tanvoice Reader does not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. The extension only processes text that you actively select and only sends that selected text to the Tanvoice API endpoint you configure. Your API key, Voice ID, and endpoint settings are stored using Chrome extension storage.

Required permissions:
- Storage: saves your Tanvoice API endpoint, API key, Voice ID, and request settings.
- Website access: allows the extension to detect selected text on webpages, show the floating read button, highlight the current sentence, and play generated audio.

Tanvoice Reader is designed for users who want a lightweight webpage text-to-speech tool powered by their own Tanvoice voice settings.

隐私说明：
Tanvoice Reader 不出售、不共享、不将你的数据用于广告。插件只处理你主动选中的网页文本，并且只会把这些文本发送到你自己配置的 Tanvoice API 地址。API Key、Voice ID 和接口配置会通过 Chrome 扩展存储保存在浏览器中。

权限说明：
- Storage：用于保存 Tanvoice API 地址、API Key、Voice ID 和请求配置。
- 网站访问权限：用于识别网页中用户选中的文字、显示悬浮朗读按钮、高亮当前句子并播放语音。
