About

TroveTab turns your browser’s native bookmarks into a clean, organized new-tab dashboard. Every time you open a new tab, you can browse your bookmark folders, search saved links, and quickly open the websites you use most.

Key features:

• Uses your existing Chrome bookmarks with no manual import or duplicate link collection
• Displays bookmark folders as clear, easy-to-scan sections
• Supports both grid and list layouts
• Searches your locally stored bookmarks
• Uses your browser’s current default search provider by default
• Lets you manually select or add other search engines
• Supports light and dark modes
• Offers customizable colors, sidebar layouts, card sizes, spacing, and appearance
• Supports built-in backgrounds, locally uploaded wallpapers, and optional online wallpapers
• Provides English and Chinese interface languages
• Supports importing and exporting TroveTab settings

Privacy and data handling:

TroveTab reads and processes your bookmarks locally on your device. Bookmark titles, URLs, folder structures, and extension settings are not uploaded to TroveTab or the developer’s servers. This information is not sold, shared for advertising, or used to track your browsing activity.

Online wallpaper access is optional. TroveTab requests access to Bing and Picsum image services only when you actively use the online wallpaper feature. These requests do not include bookmark titles, bookmark URLs, or extension settings. You can deny the optional wallpaper permissions and continue using bookmarks, search, local wallpapers, and other local features.

Permission usage:

• Bookmarks: Reads your browser bookmarks and displays them on the new-tab page
• Favicons: Displays recognizable icons for bookmarked websites and search engines
• Optional image host access: Retrieves images only when you actively enable online wallpapers

TroveTab uses your browser’s native bookmark system as its data source. Uninstalling the extension does not delete or migrate your bookmarks. Your saved links remain managed by Chrome and your browser account’s bookmark synchronization.
