About

You saved 2,000 articles. You read 12. Every read-later app promises to organize your backlog — Burn is the only one that ends it: every link you save gets 24 hours to be read, or it burns to ash. Burn is a read-it-later and bookmark manager where every saved article expires in 24 hours — the deadline is the feature.

Looking for a Pocket alternative after the shutdown, or an Instapaper alternative that actually gets you reading? This is not another archive to fill — it's the fix for why the archive never worked.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Save articles, threads, and videos to your reading list — toolbar click, Alt+B, or right-click "Save to Burn" on any link.
2. The 24-hour flame starts. Read it before it burns.
3. Finished reading? It becomes a Spark, kept for 30 days.
4. The best pieces get promoted to your Vault — a permanent library you built by reading, not hoarding.

Ignored links burn to ash. That's not a bug — that's the point: a reading list you trust, because everything on it is still worth your time.

ONE FLAME, EVERY SCREEN
Save here, and it appears in real time in the Burn iOS app and the web app (burn451.cloud). Connect once with one click — no tokens, no copy-paste. Clip on your laptop over coffee, read on your iPhone on the train, promote to Vault from anywhere. One account, one flame, always in sync.

AN AI THAT PROTECTS YOUR TIME
In the Burn app, AI reads with you, not for you: a verdict on whether eachey points, auto-tags, and how to read it faster. Burn's promise is "Bookmark less. Digest more." — our AI is tuned to tell you when to skip.

WORKS WITH YOUR AI (MCP)
Burn is the only read-later with a built-in MCP server. Connect Claude, Cugent to your Vault — ask your AI "what did I save about pricing strategy?"and it answers from articles you actually read. Your reading becomes your AI's knowledge base. (npm: burn-mcp-server)

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
This extension sends only the URL and title of pages you explicitly choose browsing history, no tracking, no ads. Minimal permissions — no access toyour tabs or website data. The contextMenus permission powers exactly one thing: the right-click "Save to Burn" item.

Free to use. Burn Pro ($4.99/mo) unlocks unlimited saves and the full AI reading assistant.
