Plex Power Tools adds the features power users wish Plex Web had — search, stats, collections, histories, and admin tooling — directly inside app.plex.tv. Nothing leaves your browser except calls to your own Plex server and the services you choose to connect.  Not just for server admins, personal insights available to end users as well.

🔎 AI-POWERED SEARCH
Find anything in your library with plain language: "feel-good 90s comedies under 2 hours," "dark sci-fi like Blade Runner," "movies my kids can watch."  Click right on a result to bring you to the movie page, and start watching all within plex.
Suggested content not in your library can be requested from your server admin with option CuePlex integration
Bring your own AI key — OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint including a local Ollama server. No key? A built-in keyword search still works at zero cost. (Recommended Gemini-3.1-flash-lite at time of publishing.  Nice free tier and very good results )  
Speed and result quality heavily impacted by model choice.

🔒 PRIVACY
Your Plex token and any AI keys are stored in your browser and used only to talk to your Plex server and the providers you configure. We run no servers and collect no analytics. See the privacy policy for details.

REQUIREMENTS
- A Plex account and at least one Plex server.
- (Optional) An API key from OpenAI or Anthropic, or a local/compatible AI endpoint, to enable natural-language search.
