About

This is a side project for the Los Angeles Valley College CAP Team.

This is a Chrome Extension to prevent distractions when completing homework or other important assignments within an individual's academic endeavors.

The extension will ask you to write exactly what you will do on the internet and monitor you if you go off-track and bring you back to focus (or when you're about to switch tasks).

Think of it as another person reminding you to focus and get your work done without getting distracted.

In general, our students have used a lot of services aimed to limit phone and computer usage.

And the focus of almost all of them is to restrict what apps and websites you can use within certain hours, but that is not the true objective of studying.

We want to make sure a student's intentions line up with reality.

Excel in your academic journey with FocusGuard.
